Full Job Description

An experienced Admissions Officer is required by our UK Admissions team to deal with applicants and enquirers to all St Mary's undergraduate, postgraduate, research and PGCE programmes. The Admissions Office sits within IESRA (International Engagement, Student Recruitment and Admissions) which leads on the University's Student Recruitment, International and Admissions activities. We work in partnership with Recruitment and Marketing and the programme teams to provide a timely, efficient and friendly service to all our enquirers and applicants., We are looking for an individual with previous UK admissions experience, ideally who has worked with UCAS and SITS student record system in their previous roles.
Reporting to the Head of Admissions, you will be responsible for dealing with a wide range of applications to the University making decisions on both undergraduate and postgraduate applications against set entry criteria, and for building & maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues in academic areas.
You will also be responsible for dealing with applications to our initial teacher training (ITT) programmes which involves arranging interviews and processing Fitness to Teach and UK DBS checks.

You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure. You will also be committed to providing a positive applicant experience.

The UK admissions team are based on the main St Mary's campus in Twickenham and are currently all office based. The ability to work from home does exist but we would strongly prefer a candidate who is happy to work on campus the majority of the time., Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
