Full Job Description

As an Adult Learning Support Assistant and Cognassist Facilitator, you play a vital role in the success of our students by guiding adult learners through the Cognassist assessment process at the start of their journey. You will manage a caseload of learners, providing monthly support meetings for those identified through the Cognassist platform, while recording their progress. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the ALS team, helping to develop learners' skills and strategies to support their ongoing progress and achievement

Ideal candidates will have experience providing support to individuals in an educational setting, including working with students who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) is essential, as is a strong understanding of working with adult learners, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Learner Support Certificate or equivalent or/ willing to work towards

  • Good standard of General Education to include Maths and English at Level 2
