Full Job Description

The Directorate Support Manager will have delegated responsibilities for a range of operational activities, working autonomously with the majority of decisions being made based on experience and specialised knowledge gained. Be responsible for managing all operational aspects of activity, referral and performance management and will work in conjunction with the Service Manager taking forward the key targets of the Care Group's Performance Dashboard, Local Authority Performance Indicators (where applicable) and service development.

  • Main duties of the job Contribute to and support effective communication across the Care Group. Develop and maintain effective systems of communication within the University Health Board and Local Authorities (where applicable), ensuring information and data reporting requirements are updated and available as requested. Represent the Directorate at key meetings and forums within and outside of the University Health Board, and will feedback to the Directorate Management Team relevant information that is at times complex and sensitive. Provide effective leadership to develop and build strong networks and relationships. Be responsible for ensuring team members are briefed on changes within the service and providing feedback on clinical governance and performance issues to inform practice and service development.
