Full Job Description

To provide expert, evidence-based leadership on all aspects of the Safeguarding Adults agenda to Whittington Health and work in close collaboration with other health service providers, local authorities and private and voluntary sector agencies.

The post holder will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the Safeguarding Adults agenda that ensures that the contribution of Whittington Health to safeguarding is in line with national policy and guidance, is consistent across the organisation and coordinated with Haringey and Islington Local Authorities.

To work in collaboration with the Haringey and Islington Local Authorities Safeguarding Adults Boards, North Central London (NCL) Integrated Care Board (ICB) and in line with jointly agreed local, London and national safeguarding adult policies.

The post holder will also lead on ensuring implementation of the Mental Capacity Act requirements across the Trusts clinical services, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. The post holder will be the lead for PREVENT.
