Full Job Description

This is a brand new and exciting role which will provide essential support to the safeguarding adult's team at Homerton Healthcare.
The potholder will support the Head of Safeguarding Adults in the development and implementation of the Trusts Safeguarding Adults Agenda in accordance with local and national guidance and legislation.
The post holder will, alongside the head of adult safeguarding , ensure the trusts meets its statutory duties to safeguard adults at risk.
The post holder will be able to provide specialised advice and guidance to ensure standards of excellence are maintained in Safeguarding Adults, Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. This will include advising staff on their statutory duties.
The post holder will support the implementation, maintenance and further development of effective and efficient systems for the prevention, surveillance and investigation of Safeguarding Adults concerns for the Trust, in partnership with the Head of Adult Safeguarding and the multi-agency safeguarding partnership., · To identify learning needs for multidisciplinary teams in Homerton Hospital; developing and delivering training ( both face to face and virtual) and education packages as necessary to meet the needs in light of current guidance, policy and research findings.
· To provide safeguarding adults supervision to staff within the trust.
· To provide advice and support to all staff groups, with particular focus on hospital staff, dealing with safeguarding adult issues ensuring escalation of concerns to/from other agencies and effective feedback and support from safeguarding meetings and forums.
· To support staff with complex Safeguarding cases and to produce action plan and monitor where required.
· To undertake safeguarding related investigations as required ( for example section 42 enquiries, patient safety investigations etc)
· To deputise for Head of Adult Safeguarding when required., The person specification attached is not the full person specification but outlines the criteria against which your application form will be assessed.
