Full Job Description

As a Skills Coach in Adult Social Care, you will be pivotal in guiding learners through their career journey. You will:

  • Train, assess, and mentor learners in adult social care, ensuring they excel in their roles and meet the standards set by awarding bodies.
  • Collaborate with employers to design tailored learning programmes that ensure learners gain the real-world skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to succeed.
  • Make a lasting impact by embedding enrichment activities, Functional Skills, and career advice into the learning experience.
  • Take pride in ensuring apprentices develop vital skills in English and Maths while tracking their progress every step of the way.
  • Represent Hull College as an advocate for excellence and inclusion, working closely with employers to build lasting relationships that lead to repeat business and opportunities for growth.
  • You'll also get the opportunity to participate in regional and college-wide events, showcasing Hull College's diverse learning opportunities and championing workplace learning!

    A Level 5 Leadership qualification in Adult Care, and a passion for coaching and development.
  • Experience in assessing and mentoring learners in vocational fields, preferably within social care.
  • A genuine commitment to maintaining high standards and delivering quality learning experiences for all learners.
  • Confidence in using IT systems and a forward-thinking attitude to promote digital skills.
