Full Job Description

Grade 5 Social Worker: £35,745 - £38,223 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)
- Retention payments for 2, 3 and 5 years service of £1,000, £1,500 and £2,000
- 37 hours a week - Flexible working options available and the option to apply for part time hours
- Permanent

Working with the Learning disability and Autism service means a varied day. You may support a young person to move into their first home from hospital or set up a re-ablement plan to help someone connect with their local community. Your role and responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Suffolk County Council (SCC) Learning Disability and Autism South Team as a Social Worker, working from Landmark House, Ipswich.

You will need
To apply you should be a qualified social worker with a current Social Work England registration. (Or awaiting your registration if Newly Qualified).
You'll bring experience of social work, modelling good practice and providing advice and guidance in complex situations. You should have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance. With experience of chairing meetings involving clients, family members, carers, and other multi-agency professionals, we're looking for your ability to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework for vulnerable adults.

Newly Qualified Adult Social Workers: £34,834 per annum, Plus a £500 additional payment on completion of ASYE (pro rata for part time hours), This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
