To support the opening of the new Community Diagnostics Centre at Mile End Hospital in mid-2025, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Advanced Cardiac CT Radiographer to work within the Cardiac CT service provision networked from the service at St Bartholomew's Hospital.
If you are a dynamic, enthusiastic, experienced Cardiac Radiographer, specialised in Cardiac CT & are looking for a challenge, this is an exciting opportunity to work within a newly established service alongside a friendly, hard-working, ambitious and highly skilled team of Radiographers within the CDC and in collaboration with the Cardiac Imaging service at St Bart's NHS Trust.
As part of this face paced & exciting role, you will be working as a key member of the Cardiac Imaging team, involved in the operational running of the department, under the leadership and deputising to the Operational Lead Radiographer.
The Cardiac service within St Bart's Trust is involved in a large amount of research and complex scanning with plenty of opportunities to get involved. We are immensely proud to have many of our Radiographers publishing research & representing us at conferences both in the UK and around the World.
The service at the CDC is based on a 7 day a week, 12 hours a day model offering flexible access to patients from around London and beyond.
For further information of the job role please, The post holder will work as an Advanced Specialist Practitioner within Cardiac Imaging, where they will be an advocate for radiographer professional development and use their advanced knowledge to support specialist radiographer education and training. They will provide high quality, effective Imaging services within Cardiac CT. The post holder will work closely with Radiographers, students and clinical staff of all grades in providing safe, prompt and effective imaging. This will be done at the Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) at Mile End.
The post holder will be a leader in cardiac radiography role expansion and responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the radiography team.
The service at the CDC is delivered across 12 hour days, 7 days a week therefore the working pattern for this post will reflect the needs of this service
