Full Job Description

This exciting new post has been created following the successful expansion of the UHNM Clinical Pharmacy Service. We are looking to recruit a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic pharmacist to lead the clinical pharmacy service to our Specialised Medicine Directorate, focusing on Gastroenterology and Respiratory Medicine. You will lead an amazing team of Advanced Specialist Pharmacists, Junior Pharmacists, Medicines Management Technicians and Medicines Management Assistants proving the best possible care for our Gastroenterology and Respiratory patients. You will also work alongside our Advanced Clinical Lead Pharmacist for Emergency Medicine and our Advanced Clinical Lead Pharmacist for General Medicine to drive forward the Pharmacy Service to the wider Medicine Division and implement further innovative ways of working. We are passionate about investing in the training and development of our pharmacy staff and have a fully established Pharmacy Education and Training Team. Choose to join our large and friendly team of over 300 pharmacy staff and you will be supported from day one to achieve your full potential., Be a visible pharmacy leader and role model with the accountability and responsibility for the provision and development of safe, effective, and cost-effective pharmacy services to Gastroenterology and Respiratory Medicine. Lead a team of highly skilled pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff working to deliver cutting edge pharmacy services to patients. Support the further develop of the clinical pharmacy workforce including the role of Medicines Management Technicians and Medicines Management Assistants.

  • Develop a strategic plan for the operational delivery of clinical pharmacy services to Respiratory and Gastroenterology, supporting a positive patient experience and the medicines optimisation agenda.
  • Seek and implement timely initiatives and policies to improve quality, safety, performance, service delivery and patient flow.
