Full Job Description
Do you want to develop yourself in a brand new state-of-the-art unit with a forward-thinking, progressive team? If the answer is yes, we can offer you a 12 month fixed contract to cover a secondment.
We are looking to recruit qualified Neonatal ACP's and candidates who are looking to further their career by training as an ACP. We have a firm foundation as one of the longest-standing ACP teams in the trust, offering a wealth of support and experience. Our units offer an abundance of interesting and unique patients to care for while developing yourself on individual chosen pathways.
Successful candidates will already be a qualified ACP through completion of the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
Candidates who are looking to undertake their training, who meet the standards for MSc entry, or are currently in training on the MSc ACP neonatal pathway are also welcome to apply.
NUH is undergoing a wonderful change with the Maternity Neonatal Redesign (MNR) which will see Neonatal services grow significantly over at QMC. We are building a state-of-the-art new centre which will open at the end of this year and we are so excited. We are also able to offer experienced candidates the opportunity to work with CenTre transport as an ACP on transport, caring for some of our patients while they safely transit around the network.
As we are expanding our team we are inviting candidates who will have excellent up-to-date clinical skills, knowledge and understanding of the needs of the sick neonates and their families. You will also be able to prioritize, use your own initiative, thrive under pressure and manage difficult situations effectively to ensure the provision of excellent patient care within the unit. You will be able to exercise independent judgement in the assessment and diagnosis of neonatal conditions. You will need to establish an appropriate course of action in order to initiate effective treatment and facilitate ongoing medical management of neonatal conditions using agreed protocols and guidelines., If you are dedicated to contributing to a team delivering excellence in neonatal/family integrated care and serious about pursuing a rewarding career at NUH, the neonatal unit is the place for you. You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly, motivated multidisciplinary team.
As a service we are anticipating funding to support the Maternity and Neonatal Redesign. This will help to fulfil our need for increased capacity and improved environment within Nottingham University Hospitals. There will be many exciting new opportunities for development and learning offered within the MNR project, as part of the ACNP team you will be integral to decision making which will help develop and grow our service.
