Advanced Clinical Practitioner

We are recruiting Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) from a variety of professional backgrounds including nurses, pharmacists, paramedics and physiotherapists.

The ACP role within the UTC/ED is a new post and offers an excellent opportunity for experienced Practitioners to be involved in delivering person centred care while working as an autonomous Practitioner.

This is the perfect opportunity to be part of a diverse team providing assessment, diagnostics, diagnosis, treatment, advice and referrals

As an Advanced Care Practitioner, you will be considered a key person in day-to-day clinical leadership and expertise within the department(s)

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. The shift pattern is required to be flexible to meet the needs of the service., You will be working autonomously within your sphere of competency as a clinician in a diverse multi skilled team that includes Emergency Medicine Physicians, General Practitioners, Emergency Nurse Practitioners, EM Nurses and administrative staff.

The post holder will deliver care to patients attending the UTC/ED with undifferentiated diagnoses covering all aspects of minor and major illness and injury.

If you are experienced with a master's level award or equivalent and keen to take on an extended role within an Urgent and Emergency Care environment, we would welcome your application.

We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses., They will have the ability to adapt to changing levels of activity and acuity within the UTC/Emergency Department in an autonomous role, exercising advanced practice skills, knowledge and clinical expertise.

The post holder will have proven clinical skills, while demonstrating excellent leadership and communication skills.

The post holder will have experience of working effectively across professional boundaries.
