Are you an Advanced Practitioner with a Level 7 qualification in Minor Illness and Injuries looking for a rewarding role? Our main patient groups are patients with minor injury and minor illness. Patients who present to the Urgent Treatment Centre are managed by our expert team of Practitioners/Clinicians with an undifferentiated diagnosis through a process of assessment, formulation of a clinical management plan and subsequently discharge or transfer for definitive care. David, our UTC Service Manager is looking for Advanced Nurse or Paramedic Practitioners with the same passion for quality care that he and his team share, to build on the excellent reputation of the centre. As we are a 7 day service we are looking for Nurse or Paramedic Practitioners who can work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends and our shifts range from 7.5 hours 12.5 hours and as we understand the need for flexible working are also open to discussing hours that suit you., As a senior member of the team working autonomously in demonstrating safe, competent clinical decision-making skills and delivering expert urgent care, including assessment and diagnostic skills. You will assess and diagnose patients presenting with a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses, planning their care, prescribing treatment and discharging or referring them as appropriate to other healthcare professionals. Working effectively, under pressure, in a fast-paced environment as part of our multi professional team. - Registered nurse or paramedic with current registration (NMC/HCPC)
- Level 7 minor illness and minor injury advanced practice qualification or equivalent
- Evidence of Continuous Professional development (CPD)
- Experience of teaching assessing and clinical supervision in Practice
- Independent non-medical prescriber (or willingness to undertake course)
