Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Thameside, a category B resettlement Prison located in Greenwich, South-East London.

In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.

The working hours are: Monday to Friday - 9.00 to 17.00, As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • deliver face to face services which will enable patients to obtain health information from the appropriate health care professional

  • To work closely with the medical practitioners in the provision of quality, evidence-based care to patients within the health in justice setting

  • be responsible for the assessment of care needs the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, without supervision, and to teach other nursing and non-nursing staff

    Registered professional with current registration (NMC)

  • Postgraduate level ANP qualification (MSc)

  • Recognised Nurse Prescribing Qualification

  • Experience of working independently within Nurse Practitioner / Specialist role

  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working

    This position is full time or part-time (working 3 days per week), youll receive an annual salary up to £61,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
