Full Job Description

The AOP is an extended scope practitioner working autonomously in the field of Orthopaedics at an advanced level performing tasks that would have previously been undertaken by medical and or technical staff. This role includes acting in a way to promote early effective discharge of patients of elective and trauma patients to enable effective use of beds within the speciality.
They will demonstrate highly developed specialist knowledge and skills in orthopaedics to support patients with varied and complex clinical needs within the acute setting. .

+ We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Orthopaedic Practitioner. You can be either an experienced senior nurse who already holds the Clinical Assessment and/or the Diagnostic Reasoning modules at degree or master level and start the role as a band 7 or be supported to undertake one of the core academic modules as a band 6. On successful completion of your first academic module you will be upgraded to a Band 7.
