The post will cover both inpatient and outpatient work and you will responsible for managing a complex caseload covering a wide range of clinical areas including nutrition support, enteral feeding, gastroenterology, food allergies, feeding problems, Neonates and Eating Disorders. We work very closely with the entire paediatric MDT, including consultants, specialist nurses, psychologists, ward and support staff as well as health visitors, children's community nurses and speech and language therapists.This post offers excellent opportunities for professional and personal development. Are you looking for an opportunity to work within Paediatric Dietetics? We are looking for a enthusiastic and self-motivatedDietitian to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay for a part time position (0.83 wte) 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave from March 2025. The post is based at Royal Lancaster Hospital but there may be the occasional need to travel to Furness General Hospital., interest in the speciality as well how your skill set fits with our service and your development needs. Applicants must be HCPC registered dietitians.
We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period. This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
