Full Job Description

As an integral member of the team you will be involved in pathway work within your specialist area, and implement appropriate clinical guidelines and patient pathways.
You will be responsible for performing advanced physiotherapeutic assessments of patients with musculo-skeletal conditions, providing an accurate diagnosis and managing a defined caseload of patients with highly complex needs, using evidence based /patient centred principles in a variety of locations, maintaining associated records.
You will provide clinical and managerial leadership in your specialist area through clinical supervision, in service training and mentoring, supporting the team promote an efficient and effective service.
As part of your role you will commit to supervise, educate and assess the performance of students to a graduate standard and work with universities to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets the standards set by the degree level qualification.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and self-motivated Band 7 Physiotherapist to join the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy service based at Kingsgate House in the centre of Stockport.
The service is a busy and forward thinking provider of Adult Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy across multiple clinic sites in Stockport, receiving referrals for acute and chronic conditions from GPs, ESPs and Pain clinic. We have strong links with the acute Trust site and the Orthopaedic Assessment Service
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person who has experience in treating a wide variety of Musculoskeletal Conditions within a diverse population and is able to promote self-management and act as an expert in their field providing support to other members of the team.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
