Full Job Description

You will be responsible for the day-to-day practice of the Occupational Therapists within your team, supporting the team manager to ensure practice is of the highest standard and aligns to our Quality Assurance Framework, performance is in line with our Performance Framework and professional supervision is provided on a regular basis. You will work alongside Advanced Practitioner Social Work colleagues to provide support, guidance and learning opportunities to staff across the team and wider Directorate. There will be opportunity to develop and shape occupational therapy across the Directorate working closely with the Principal Occupational Therapist.

We ask that you hold or are willing to undertake a Train the Trainer qualification in Moving and Handling and have post qualifying experience/certificates in other relevant areas of practice.

Are you an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years post qualification experience working in a social care or health setting? If so then this could be the post for you. We are looking for experienced Occupational Therapists to join Adult Social Care in Walsall as Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist. You will be a registered Occupational Therapist with significant experience of working with adults and children. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate competence with supporting staff and commitment to their continual professional development., This post is covered by the Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
