Full Job Description
- Ensure that the needs of the patients are placed at the centre of care delivery
- Deliver a high standard of patient care as an advanced practitioner in general practice, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base
- Manage a clinical caseload of patients presenting with undifferentiated health needs, responding effectively to patient need and ensuring patient choice and ease of access to services.
- Operate within their own sphere of competence and agreed acceptable limits of practice to provide expert professional clinical advice to patients, carers, and colleagues, ensuring clinical safety and excellence.
- Prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication defined by current legislative framework
- Undertake and promote confident, safe, and autonomous practice. Engage with continuous professional development and to work with the advanced practitioner and wider practice team developing competencies to expand the role of advanced practitioners as a core part of the St Marys clinical team.
- Remain clinically competent, registered with appropriate governing body as relevant to profession and ensure continuous professional development opportunities are undertaken.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of strategic plans for the development of St Marys and Sea City PCN services., We strive to provide high quality, patient centred care and at the same time prioritise staff wellbeing and development. As a nurse joining our team we will provide you with supportive annual appraisal meetings and the opportunity for you to develop your skills in a supportive and collegiate environment.
