Full Job Description

The Advanced Practitioner Radiographer- Skin will be responsible for:

Managing and actively participating in the patient preparation in Mould room and delivery of radiotherapy to the skin across all treatment modalities including electrons, photons and orthovoltage.

The post holder shall ensure that the patient pathway is managed efficiently to ensure continuity of care, effective use of resources and to ensure that all cancer targets both locally and nationally are achieved.

To be an effective team player in the tumour specific multi-disciplinary team and to be involved in the total care of patients undergoing Radiotherapy treatment.

To provide radiotherapy knowledge to the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and Network as required.

Provide information and support to relatives and carers instrumental in the patient's on-going care and holistic well-being.

Operate inter-professionally between the MDT, medical physics, medical staff, radiographers and other allied health care professionals advising and referring to other healthcare providers as necessary for each patient.

The post holder must be qualified to practice as an Operator within Radiotherapy as defined by IR(ME)R.

To undertake working hours that suit the demands of the service.
