Full Job Description
The Northwest Ambulance Service (NWAS) is expanding it's clinical workforce by introducing a new Advanced Practitioner role open to suitably experienced Nurses and Paramedics.
The post provides an exciting opportunity for motivated Paramedics and Nurses to be involved in the Trusts new delivery model. Rotating between Clinical Hub providing telephone triage to NWAS patients and responding to designated NWAS sites to patients who have the potential to be treated at home. You will be responding in a non emergency vehicle.
The post holder will be an experienced Paramedic or Nurse, who acting within their professional boundaries, will provide enhanced clinical decision making to support pathways of care to lower acuity patients both through telephone consultation and face to face assessment. You will ensure the delivery of excellent patient care through the continuous achievement of high clinical standards. You will work autonomously and support patients within our community. You will be expected to undertake relevant research and development activities and to support underpinning knowledge. Opportunity to achieve a Level 7 Advanced Clinical Practice module will be provided if you do not already hold this qualification. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to peers within your role.
These posts will suit highly motivated patient focused practitioners who wish to further develop their clinical skills and experience by working in an urgent and emergency care setting. So, if you are comfortable working autonomously whilst having the support of a close clinical team and want to work for an organisation who is rethinking the way urgent and emergency care is delivered apply now.
