Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Advanced Physiotherapist to undertake a post in Trauma & Cardiothoracics, within the Network Services Division at University Hospital of North Midlands. We are open to those who are working at band 6 level, who would like an opportunity for career progression and can provide evidence of their development and ambitions, as well as those who are already working at band 7 level.
The post holder will be responsible for leading the Therapy treatment and service development within this specialist area. We are proud to treat the patients who are admitted to our trust through our Major Trauma Centre and want to ensure we continue to provide them with the highest standards of care.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for an Physiotherapist who would like to demonstrate and develop their skills in a speciality area, providing clinical expertise to the teams and support with the care and treatment of patient's who have had traumatic orthopaedic injuries, in a fast paced, acute setting., · The role also incorporates team management; alongside a team of Advanced Physiotherapist's and Occupational Therapist's, you will be jointly responsible for the co-ordination of a dynamic therapy team comprising of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Technicians.
The Therapy department at UHNM is made up of two divisional based teams within multiple clinical areas; this means we are fortunate in being able to offer a large pool of expertise for support and development opportunities. We also have excellent links with regional universities. The successful candidate will be involved in student education as well as staff in-service training. Personal and professional development is supported through annual appraisal and internal/external training. The post will be supervised by a Principal Therapist.
Therapy Services work within a 7 day shift system therefore there is a requirement to work weekends and bank holidays.
