Full Job Description

As a result, Salford is now looking to recruit experienced an Advanced Social Work practitioner to be part of this and help us deliver our community led support vision. That means having a passion for social work, enabling effective integrated working, promoting independence through reablement approaches and safeguarding adults in Salford. You will be responsible for carrying out social work duties, requiring the highest levels of skills, knowledge, and professional expertise. You will assist the Team Manager in ensuring the delivery of effective, safe integrated services for adults through the promotion of high standards of practice in assessment and person-centred support planning being creative to meet individual outcomes.

The Adult Social Care workforce aims to improve outcomes for adults who live in Salford by empowering individuals, adopting a strength's-based approach across the service, promoting independence, and working in partnership with our residents so their experiences, opportunities and lives are as good as they can be. This will be achieved through developing a skilled and motivated workforce by investing in their continued professional development and ensuring their practice is current and of a high standard.

You willbe askilled, effective practitioner acting with considerable autonomy. Youshouldhave in depth knowledge and skill inmore than one fieldsof practice which may have been developed through a formal post- qualifying training and development activity. Youshouldbe an experienced practiceeducatorand ASYE assessorandsupport studentsocialworkersand newly qualified social workers. Youshould have apostgraduate qualification and role in specialised practice e.g., AMHP, BIA. Youwill need to havecapability to integrate professional knowledge, the views of people using services and research/evaluation evidence routinely in their practiceand be able to support the team to do so. Youwill need todemonstrate expert and effective practice in complex situations, assessing and managing higher levels of risk while promoting enablement and self-determination. Youwill need tonetwork and liaise with a wider range of professionals and other colleagues, including at more senior or strategic levels. Youwill
need tomanagea complex workload whilst supporting the team and the team manager. You advanced social work practitioner is expected to promote a culture of professional curiosity and contribute to thepositive social work identity within the organisation.
