Full Job Description

The post holder will:
+ Be part of a team of highly specialised clinical Pharmacists delivering a high level of clinical Pharmacy input to the wards.
+ Work as an independent prescriber to optimise medicine regimes for the patients
+ Be part of a Research and Innovation team that deliver a consistently high clinical trials service for the patients.
+ Act as a role model for, and be responsible for developing core competencies of any Pharmacist working in the clinical trial setting by organising their training and assessing their competency
+ Work with the Lead Pharmacist for Medicines Utilisation regarding the operational management and strategic development of pharmaceutical services and to reduce the risk of medication misadventure within the Research and Innovation Division.

If your answer is yes to any of the above, we have an exciting opportunity available within our Pharmacy department at The Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) Telford, for a specialist clinical Pharmacist working within our Research and Innovation service. This is a brand new role within our Trust where we are looking to strengthen the clinical trial service through the formation of a strong clinical pharmacy team at the pivotal point in the research journey. We already have a dedicated Pharmacy Technician, and we are seeking to complete this team by recruiting a motivated, innovative, clinically driven Pharmacist who wants to make a difference.
The successful applicant must be committed to delivering an excellent research and innovation pharmacy service built around the highest standards for our patients and will look to further educate and train our team through the development of a training programme.
Applicants must be suitably qualified, as appropriate to the post. A postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy is essential. This is a prescribing role and candidates who are not currently an independent prescriber will be supported and funded to undertake the qualification.
