Full Job Description

  • To be a visible leader and role model in Pharmacy at UHNM.
  • To work with local schools, colleges and the Trust Learning Education and Widening Participation Team to develop our Pharmacy Work Experience Programme. To work with local HEIs and NHSE to further develop and maintain the undergraduate pharmacy placement programme at UHNM. To act as the educational programme director for the Foundation Training Programme at UHNM. To ensure a high quality, supportive and innovative Foundation Training programme to all our trainee pharmacists. To train and support our team of designated supervisors and Foundation DPPs. To develop the Foundation Trainee Independent Prescribing Training at UHNM. To develop a range of multisector Foundation Training programmes working with other local providers, NHSE and the ICB. To maintain your clinical and prescribing skills through regular ward and dispensary cover. Further information is provided in the attached Job Description.

    The introduction of Undergraduate Pharmacy placements, the movement of independent prescribing into the pre-registration space, the mandating of multisector Foundation Training......all of this is happening NOW and we want you to lead on these developments at UHNM. Come and join our team of 6 education and training pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who support and develop our amazing team of Advanced Specialist Pharmacists, Rotational Pharmacists, Medicines Management Technicians and Medicines Management Assistants providing the best possible care for our patients. You will work alongside our Education and Training Team, under the guidance of our Advanced Clinical Lead Pharmacist for Workforce Development, to drive forward the development opportunities to the Pharmacy team and implement further innovative ways of working.
