Full Job Description

The role of an Advanced Teaching Assistant is to promote the learning and welfare of children by providing practical and learning support to children, including those with Education Health Care Plans, under the direction of the class teacher SENDCo or the extended inclusion team. In this role you will be expected to assess, monitor and record student development, progress and attainment through our school systems. Using this data you will help to support and implement individual development plans, termly reviews and healthcare plans. Other duties will include establishing and maintaining relationships with families, arranging or providing resources for lessons and providing short term cover within our inclusion spaces.

As this is an advanced role, it is essential that applicants have experience of working in a school environment with young people, as well as holding a level 3 qualification that relates to working with children and young people.
