Full Job Description

The Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) Data Lead is a critical role within Worley, responsible for ensuring the seamless integration, management, and optimisation of data related to AWP processes. This position will focus on leading and coordinating data across various project phases, from front-end planning to detailed design, construction, and commissioning, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. The AWP Data Lead will work closely with project managers, engineers, planners, and other project stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making and project efficiency.

Requires strong experience with 3D design review tools (e.g. Navisworks or SmartPlant Review) and be familiar with typical 3D & 2D design applications like Smart 3D, E3D, Tekla or Isogen Spoolgen. iConstruct and O3 knowledge is a plus.

Travel between UK and European offices will be required to support Projects.

You'll be:

  • Lead the integration and management of data across all stages of the AWP process, ensuring consistent data flow and accessibility.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data standards, procedures, and governance to support AWP processes.

  • Ensure all project data is accurate, up-to-date, and properly aligned with project schedules and deliverables.

  • Collaborate with project teams, including engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning, to identify data needs and ensure data alignment across disciplines.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for AWP data-related issues and inquiries, providing guidance and support to project stakeholders.

  • Work closely with IT and software vendors to enhance and optimise data systems and tools used in AWP processes.

  • Analyse and interpret data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that could impact project execution.

  • Develop and deliver regular data reports and dashboards to project teams and management, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data-driven insights and identifying opportunities for process optimisation.

  • Provide training and support to project teams on AWP data management tools and best practices.

  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance the data literacy of project teams.

  • Ensure all project stakeholders understand the importance of data accuracy and integrity in the AWP process.

  • Implement data quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data across all AWP activities.

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of project data to identify and rectify any discrepancies or issues.

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain high standards of data quality.

  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data management and AWP, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to improve data processes.

  • Work with software developers and vendors/suppliers to customise and enhance AWP data management tools to meet the specific needs of the project.

    Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, from an accredited program and a minimum seven (7) years of related experience in the EPC / EPCM industry, or equivalent field experience

  • Extensive experience with BIM or 3D Modeling utilizing industry standard fabrication &/or design software solutions.

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft power query.

  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.

  • Experience with reading and understanding engineered plan drawings.

  • Ability to operate, access, and maintain diverse software applications.

  • Ability to use independent judgment, problem-solving ability, self-starting and ability to prioritize based on relevant factors.

  • Solid understanding of end-to-end EPC project lifecycle

  • Deep understanding of construction project requirements, deliverables, and workflows

  • Experience in EPC project Delivery systems and work processes including or equivalents:


  • o Engineering Systems such as :3D Model S3D/ E3D, SPPID, SPI, SPEL

    o Engineering database systems such as Aveva Engineering and/or Aveva Net or AIM

    o Aveva ERM or supply chain / material management systems

    o Aconex / EDMS systems

    o Mater Tags Registry, Master Document Registry & Doc to Tags

    o Excel Data sources

    o Navisworks, iConstruct & O3 virtual design software
