Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join the Company Secretarial team as an Adviser. The role will suit someone with previous company secretarial experience or someone with more general company accounts knowledge who wants to specialise in company secretarial work and is keen to learn.

Who we are looking for:

This is an ideal opportunity for someone to work as part of the company secretarial team providing an excellent service to the firms' clients in accordance with the firm's values, procedures, prevailing legislation and good professional practice so as to meet or exceed clients' expectations and needs.

This role is a fixed term contract until September 2025.

The hours are part time, negotiable between 14.5 and 16 hours per week, which can be over 2, 3 or 4 days.

This is a hybrid role, a minimum of 1 day a week will need to be spent working from the office with your team, ideally a Monday.

What the role involves:

  • Filing accounts at Companies House


  • Company formation and strike off


  • Appointment and removal of company officers


  • Preparing confirmation statements, PSC register, share certificates, dividend vouchers and other company secretarial documents and resolutions


  • Preparation of stock transfer forms and documentation for share re-organisations and re-designations


  • Other ad hoc administration tasks to support the company secretarial team

  • Our ideal candidate will:

  • Ideally have experience of company secretarial work, but we will also consider candidates with more general experience and a willingness to learn.


  • Be familiar with the use of recognised software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).


  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills as there will be contact with clients at all levels.


  • Have good organisational skills as well as the ability to take initiative
