Full Job Description

As the Druck Aerospace Project Manager working within the PMO organisation. You will be responsible for driving and coordinating a portfolio of new product designs and have overall responsibility for the schedule, scope, and budget of the projects across all functions including technology, production and associated support functions. As an Aerospace Project Manager, you will be responsible for the below:

  • Being a strong leader who can influence change and meet project deadlines whilst operating in a matrix environment.
  • Leading tollgate reviews reporting to senior management.
  • Driving project accountability throughout the business.
  • Understanding scheduling and the CP method, able to create a working master schedule.
  • Being able to generate resource plans to deliver project schedule.
  • Understanding the use and benefits of breakdown structures (WBS, PBS and CBS).
  • Being able to assess project financial benefits through use of payback, NPV and IRR methods.
  • Being able to communicate at all levels within the organization.
  • Operating whilst under pressure and remain focused on project objectives.
  • Leading cross-functional project teams throughout the entire Project Life Cycle (PLC) in accordance with the Druck stage gate process.
  • Providing formal project appraisal on a regular basis to the management team against clear project Key Progress Indicators (quality, cost and schedule).
  • Being flexible to meeting demands of the business.
  • Having the confidence to challenge the project team members and functional managers on performance and meeting targets.

    Have demonstrable project management experience
  • Have previous leadership experience
  • Have previously undertaken formal project management training
  • Have a proven track record of successful project management
  • Having the ability to demonstrate success in influencing and leading cross-functional teams
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess a bachelor’s in Engineering or similar, from an accredited university or college
  • Have excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be fluent in English and eligible to work in the UK, with no requirement for future sponsorship
  • Have the ability to occasional travel required for customer review - UK and possibly overseas
  • Desirable:
  • Six Sigma trained
  • Member of professional project management institute APM / PMI
  • Understand engineering drawings
  • Configuration and design change management.
