Full Job Description

The successful applicant will work with the General Surgery Directorate Research Co-ordinator, Chief Investigator and Sponsor to set up, support and close down 15-25 NHS participating sites in the UK. The post holder will be required to monitor recruitment to time and target and project delivery, submit amendments to regulatory bodies as appropriate, provide quality assurance and liaise with research finance.

The Clinical Research & Innovation Office (CRIO) provides hands-on support and advice to researchers, members of the public, patients and industry partners about getting involved in research, study design and set-up and how our cutting-edge facilities can improve health and healthcare for patients living in Sheffield and beyond.

The Academic Directorate of General Surgery is based at the Northern General Hospital. It is a research active Directorate with a large and growing portfolio of NIHR studies delivered by Clinical Trials Assistants. The Directorate conducts research in the areas of coloproctology, upper GI, hepatobillary and thyroid surgery.
