Full Job Description

As a Anti-Financial Crime Compliance Manager UK, Ireland & Jersey you will be responsible for ensuring we meet both our regulatory Anti-Financial Crime ('AFC') obligations in the countries we operate in and as a leading gambling operator, to act as a gatekeeper for safer betting and gaming with responsibilities in keeping financial crime out of gambling remains a critical objective.

Reporting to the Head of AFC & MLRO UK and Ireland / Group AFC Technology Lead, this is a pivotal role in ensuring Entain complies with its legal and regulatory AFC obligations and related licence conditions in the UK and Ireland. The role will help drive the AFC and Compliance culture within the company and will support Entain's objective of maintaining and enhancing its reputation a leading operator in providing a crime-free environment for its customers in keeping crime out of gambling.

What you will do

  • Support the UK MLRO in AFC-related projects and other projects within the company

  • Ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of the AFC programme.

  • Assist in data presentation and preparation for the Financial Crime Committee meetings.

  • Ensure strong audit trail of metrics and reports are maintained.

  • Drive continuous improvements within UK, Ireland and Jersey processes, in line with expectations and requirements set by regulators, and industry good practice.

  • Understand and advise on how Entain manages its AML/CTF and sanctions risk across business areas, providing advice to senior leaders and overseeing how these areas manage controls to mitigate those risks.

  • Drive and promote positive risk and compliance culture of FinCrime risk and controls by forging long term relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Monitor industry AFC approach and ensure that the business benefits from identified learnings.

  • Manage the UK, Ireland and Jersey-facing AFC Training. This includes understanding gaps in training in AFC within the organisation, particularly with first line defence teams, and monitoring the effectiveness and quality of the training delivered.

  • Identify areas of weakness in education within the organisation and assist with finding opportunities for AFC.

  • Identify, understand and communicate emerging risks within the business and business practices.

  • Have attention to detail and ask the right questions to pinpoint key issues and provide challenge where necessary.

  • Understand regulatory changes, guidance set by regulators, enforcement actions and interpret how those can be applied internally to framework, methodologies and controls.

  • Support the UK MLRO in utilising technology to enhance the AFC framework and tools.
