In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. The purpose of this role is to create and maintain cost price files to support the Aftermarket Business and upload of accurate master data into M3. Key Responsibilities will include: Collate all necessary documentation and upload cost prices on ERP system Construct cost prices for the recommended spares parts list (RSPL) for aircraft entry into service Use in house systems to produce robust cost files for aftermarket manufactured parts. To upload all data defined in M3 per aftermarket requirements and ensure data integrity Extract and analyse bills of materials (BOMs) verify and check routings. Co-ordinate and action activities to maintain data housekeeping Confirm treatment costs and availability of tooling. Liaise with the Engineering team to ensure good housekeeping of BOM's and routes. Raise internal RFQ's to obtain valid cost prices for purchased parts via the Strategic Purchasing team. Identify risk elements i.e. signal codes, tooling costs etc. to minimise the business risk. Liaise with the relevant departments to obtain information for accurate costings. Analyse the make versus buy option to maximise in house production capabilities. Liaise and support the Aftermarket pricing and operations teams Liaise with all relevant departments in order to support the Aftermarket Segment. Support and participate in any relevant project workshops Provide coaching and support to members of the team as required Flexibility to work between sites KPI follow up and performance improvement
Level 3 qualifications (NVQ / BTEC, National certificate / Diploma), OR suitable depth of experience acquired by working in a Sales/Aftermarket related role. Good understanding of costing process Previous experience in a commercial Aftermarket position Ability to read and understand technical drawings Experience of the Aircraft Seating Industry Strong estimating capability Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise Analytical Skills Strong communication skills Good team working skills Familiarity with ERP Competent user of Microsoft office applications No candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
