Full Job Description

The prime responsibility of the role is for the management, engagement, and deployment of agency staff across the organisation. Additionally, you will act as the responsible person "Duty Manager" for overall site management working within the "Duty rota." This would be upholding the title of major incident management coordinator and holding the duty site phone. Other responsibilities include:

  • Agency vetting and contract negotiation.
  • Requesting of agency resource - primary liaison with agency suppliers
  • Agency staff management to include - Induction, quarterly check-in meetings and performance management.
  • Compliance of all agency staff - Safeguarding, right to work, references and tracking in our Prior Insight system (maintain Agency Single Central Database).
  • Regular monitoring of agency hours - removing non-active staff and ensuring agency staff are not working excessive hours.
  • Approval of agency invoices against timesheets.
  • Supporting all/any Safeguarding or other investigations relating to Agency staff members in conjunction with the Safeguarding lead/and or HR.
  • Maintaining Agency Training records and ensuring a high level of training compliance. Conduct monthly training checks and provide the relevant Executive team members with monthly reports.
  • In collaboration with our Learning & Development team, support Agency staff to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
  • Respond to all Ofsted/CQC and/or Local Authority requests for information (including inspections.)

    We are looking for a solutions-focused Agency Manager who will take prime responsibility for the management, engagement, and deployment of agency staff across the organisation. You will already have strong rostering /rota knowledge as well as having strong interpersonal skills all whilst working well under pressure.
  • Car owner/driver due to remote location
  • One site location- Near Newbury, RG18 9NU, Must have experience of working within a care environment at a management level.

    Salary: Up to £35,000 pro-rata, depending on experience Hours: 37.5 hours - This position is subject to a fixed rota pattern, that includes weekend, early morning, and evening working Contract type: Permanent - full-time, We aim to make all staff feel valued and supported with training and a competitive salary along with providing the knowledge and skills needed to do a great job.
