Full Job Description
- Thoroughly preparing the operating room for orthopaedic procedures, ensuring that all required equipment and supplies are readily available.
- Providing critical assistance to the surgical team during orthopaedic surgeries by proficiently passing instruments and equipment as needed.
- Maintaining a sterile and meticulously organized surgical environment throughout procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient safety.
- Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and seamless coordination of care.
- Offering compassionate support and guidance to patients and their families before and after orthopaedic procedures, ensuring they feel informed and reassured at every stage. If you are passionate about patient care and thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment, we'd love to have you on board!
- Registered Nurse (RN/RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner qualification.
- Valid and clear NMC or HCPC registration
- Proven and substantial experience in orthopaedic surgical settings, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the specific challenges and requirements of these procedures.
- A strong command of sterile technique and infection control protocols, coupled with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that are essential for fostering positive patient interactions and effective teamwork.
