WHAT TO EXPECT This is an opportunity to Join and support the MLA T&F Plant Launch team in the exciting Agile in Launch landscape, be an empowered individual ensuring collaboration within the Group(s) or Squad(s) being a lead member in delivering Plant Readiness in launch. Working within Launch Quality Operating System guidelines and using Agile methodology; this role will support the Plant Launch function in the planning, control and delivery of all new model launch activities, from Programme Start right through to Job 1 +90 days. This is a key role that has cross functional interfaces, which will play a pivotal part in ensuring all key launch metrics and deliverables for the plant are met. You'll be a lead member of the Squad participating in all aspects of Agile such as Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Big Room Planning and Showcase events. The individual will be required to participate in raising and manging stories within JIRA, facilitating meetings, presenting out at all levels, data analysis, creating documents with formulas/bar charts/graphs/pivot tables/macros, problem solving and supporting the manufacturing team with H&S and Risk Assessments. You will assist the team of Product Coaches and GL's with day-to-day requirements such as planning for training and issue management. You will be expected to highlight and manage all issues that may affect manufacturing up until final resolution. The candidate will be expected to support build phases by travelling across different sites during prototype and other build phases and also support working a 3-shift rotation which may include early starts, late starts and unsociable hours. There will be cases where the candidate will be expected to show flexibility around shifts and overtime.   • Supporting the operational Launch Supervisor with initiatives that deliver the Launch Quality Operating Systems & Integrated Product Structure and its associated scorecard metrics. Operate as an AGILE lead Squad Member for Plant Launch, engaging with wider teams to work collaboratively.
  • Be disciplined in all agile meeting cadence in both attendance and promotion of professional attitudes through creator's code behaviours.
  • Working across sites during prototype and other build phases
  • Support all product quality issues adequately through the appropriate AGILE Forums -Stand Ups, Scrum of Scrums, Showcases. Raising and managing stories from start to completion with escalation where required through the appropriate channels e.g. raising to group level, obstacle/risk.
  • Track Quality performance via each build phase to show success and actively drive the teams to achieve target level agreements.
  • Supports Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. Additionally, the collation of data using issue management systems such as eCCAR, JIRA and AIMS3 for achievement of operational results. Support plant activities to deliver flawless launch i.e. parts presentation, Trim & Final build phases (Including model year changes) setting up tracking systems and report out documentation.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.

    Indentured Apprenticeship, Craftsman Certificate, or a Level 3 in one of the following - BTEC, NVQ, OCR Cambridge Nationals or National Diploma
  • Relevant OR previous experience of T&F Launch and Quality in Manufacturing, including AGILE methodology, preferably completed courses on success factors and working to AGLIE principles preferred but not essential.
  • An individual, who works independently, is results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment, with the capability to combine a short term, pragmatic focus with medium term planning.
  • A good communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels including complex ideas in the correct forums/arena.
  • An effective team player, actively develops and supports team members.
  • Understanding of vehicle programme quality and health and safety processes & procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft package elements (Power Point & Excel)up to and including charts/graphs/formulas/pivot tables/macros as well as the ability to use other software applications such as Jira/Confluence/ECCARs/Tableau, Qbay and FLAGS would be advantageous
