Full Job Description
The Deputy Clinical Head of Service will provide strong professional clinical leadership support and specialist clinical advice across the services within their portfolio. The role will support the Clinical Head of Service and will be a visible and accessible presence for their teams. The post holder will support the Head of Service and Clinical Heads of Service to continually improve equitable patient care, experience, access and outcomes and assist with the implementation of national and Trust initiatives. The post holder will support the Clinical Head of Service in developing the service to meet the population's needs and to ensure services provide safe, effective, personalised and evidence-based clinical interventions and holistic care. The post holder will be a role model for leadership, training, coaching, and facilitating staff development at all levels. The post holder will be expected to provide a clinical perspective on pathways within their portfolio and support the implementation within the modernisation and changing environment of all service areas.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated, innovative and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the team of AHP leads within our Planned Care Division. This newly created post is the result of an organisation redesign focused on improving the clinical voice in the trust. We are looking for an individual who is motivated to deliver safe, high-quality care to children, young people, and families in Brighton and Hove and West Sussex. Collaborative working across the services in the interest of children and young people is actively encouraged, to share best practice and make efficient use of resources. Excellent communication skills and understanding of partnership working are essential for this post. We are open to discussion with the successful candidate about whether they wish to continue to carry out clinical sessions and their particular area of clinical interest.
