Full Job Description

Role:- Reporting to and working closely with Manager Airport Services, London Gatwick, this busy role is responsible for all phases of airport activities in accordance with established standards. Main duties include but not limited to:-

1. Handling of passengers, cargo and mail.
2. Supervision of check-in activities, payment for excess baggage, boarding and disembarkation of passengers and the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo.
3. Preparation of ticket lift envelopes, sales and other reports as required.
4. Supervise or handle the issuance of Hotel Vouchers and other travel documents.
5. Handle interoffice correspondence, emails and other airport related customer relation issues.
6. Supervise and manage activities assigned to outsourced partners.
7. Comply and assist with the implementation of all policies, procedures and regulations specified for the position.
8. Consistently adhere to the airline safety and security policy and procedures through identification and mitigation of operational hazards and related safety & security risks and implement all precautionary actions / measures / processes; conduct work activity safety planning before work begins, during the actual work as conditions change, debriefing and hand over activities at the end of the work and shifting to other work when emergent work is encountered; make safety a priority and participate in safety briefings and meetings and take part in implementing safety initiatives, regularly perform safety inspections of work activities, facilities, equipment etc..
9. Ensure relationships are maintained with our passengers and other relevant stakeholders including internal departments.
10. As Ethiopian Airlines band ambassador, promote and adhere to the ET brand guidelines.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in an airport operations environment is required. Experience within the airline/travel industry within reservations, fares & ticketing using Sabre would be an advantage. You will be service oriented with good interpersonal, communication skills and fluency in English language is essential for this role. Your ability to work under pressure and act on your own initiative would be key along with excellent time management and organizational skills. Good working knowledge of PC-based applications such MS Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
