Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 01:00-10:00 (40 hours)

Location: London Luton Airport Cargo Centre, President Way, LU2 9NW

  • Key responsibilities:

  • To be safety conscious and compliant.

  • To operate various types of aircraft loading equipment (all training provided).

  • To assist as part of a team in the methodical off and on-load of aircraft.

  • To react positively to any last minute changes.

  • To work in accordance with the Global Aviation Procedures and Standards manual. (GSAM)

  • To carry out aircraft arrival and departure procedures

  • Checking of Daily serviceability of equipment.

  • To assist within the Sort operation and driving duties when not engaged in Ramp operations.

  • To work towards DHL Certified International Specialist accreditation.

  • You are expected to report all accidents, near misses and hazards in the workplace.

  • All employees are responsible for the health and safety of themselves and also those affected by their activities.


  • You'll bring to this role:
  • Must meet criteria for issue of an Airside Pass (with full 5 year employment/non employment history)

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence

  • A safety first attitude

  • Good communication skills required (oral & written)

  • To be able to work under their own initiative.

  • To be physically able and have manual handling skills.

  • Knowledge of ramp equipment (an advantage)

  • Highly self-motivated.

  • Must be able to follow Ramp procedures (filling LV sheets and using GOALS system).

  • Manual handling skills

  • Must be able to be flexible with working hours.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
