Full Job Description

+ Provide support, and care planned therapeutic interventions with an allocated group of service users with mental health needs as identified by a qualified Allied Health Professional (this may include Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and language Therapy, Dietician).
+ Promote service-users recovery by assisting them in re-establishing their function and goals to support planned discharge through the delivery of care planned interventions.
+ Promote and support the health and wellbeing of service users through a range of Allied Health Professional interventions, including supporting the delivery of group work, and individual programmes to support recovery.
+ To assist Allied Health Professional (AHP) service through contribution to assessments and care planning including the implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans.
+ You will be a caring and compassionate individual who has a passion for supporting individuals with complex mental health needs to work towards their personal recovery goals, whilst working within a multi-disciplinary team.
+ You will ensure that your own actions support the equality, diversity, rights and responsibilities of individuals and promote independence.
+ You will work within agreed and established Trust policy and operational procedures at all times.

We are looking to recruit a Band 3 Allied Health Professional Assistant who:
+ Has experience working with people with complex severe and enduring mental illnesses (i.e. complex psychosis)
+ Has experience of managing a caseload under supervision and to deliver therapeutic interventions
+ Is passionate about supporting individuals to achieve their full potential and maximise their quality of life
+ Is caring and compassionate
+ Is self-motivated and able to motivate others
+ Is a team player, as well as being able to work autonomously

The Mental Health Inpatient Service works with people with complex severe and enduring mental illness. The service is looking to recruit a part time Band 3 Allied Health Professional Assistant.
The service provides specialist assessment, treatment and support to stabilise people's symptoms of mental ill health and help them gain/regain their skills and confidence to live independently - adopting a team approach to care delivery.
We promote regular CPD opportunities both internally and externally and support individuals to develop specialised nursing skills to work in a complex area of mental health care.
