Full Job Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a brand new service, targeting patients who suffer with anorexia nervosa, withdeteriorating weight, in an intensive onlineprogramme. This new service is called the Waterlily Inpatient Prevention Programme. The Waterlilyservicewill work across 5 different eating disorder community teams within the East Midlands region, offering patients intenstive support to restore their weight and work towards recovery.This will include a range of individual sessions and groups including: CBT, Psych-Ed, body image, neuroscience and anxiety management. The Waterlilyservice will also support patients with meal supervision, trips to coffee shops/supermarkets, cooking at homeand low-key fun groups. The occupational therapist will take a lead in facilitating and co-facilitating these groups with the support of other experienced clinicians across the provider collaborative., The main aspects of the role will be to provide:

  • Occupational Therapy assessments
  • Intervention plans including: 1:1 goal setting and support, meal supervision/meal cookery, low key groups e.g. arts and crafts, supermarket support.
  • Facilitating online groups
  • Providing supervision to less experienced staff
  • Training and development of staff
  • Risk management
  • Coordinating timetable of groups
  • Working collaboratively with patients and carers
