Full Job Description

Following news of the successful application of the Trust to join the national New Hospital Programme (NHP), a substantial programme of work is now needed to develop the case, the overall design of the hospital and associated site plus the development of new and transformative operating and workforce models for the future. Working with the Chief Medical Officer, this post will provide senior Allied Health Professional (AHP) leadership for the design of the clinical services and areas, their pathways and processes and workforce requirements., This role is responsible for leading the co-production process that brings together the views of clinical and non-clinical at MCHFT with those of its service uses and system wide stakeholders. The initial outputs of the role include production of a clinical design brief that informs the shape and content of the new facility in a way that drives material strides in efficiency and efficacy, whilst addressing key healthcare issues such as sustainability, inequality, and prevention. Beyond that the postholder will provide AHP leadership for the adoption of new models of care and the transition into the new facility. All programme outputs also have to be delivered within the challenging time, cost, and quality parameters of the Healthier Futures Programme., + Provide a senior AHP voice and perspective into a variety of programme activities as required. This may include attendance at weekly project delivery meetings, more formal programme Board meetings and design workshops.
+ Working with the Chief Medical Officer, contribute to the development of the strategic outline and outline and full business cases for the Healthier Futures programme.
+ Define the clinical strategy and lead the co-design and co-production of a sustainable clinical model that underpins the success of the New Hospital.
+ Ensure that the structure of the Healthier Futures programme and its activities promote a clinical view that is representative of all clinical staff across the Trust.
+ Work with the Healthier Futures programme engagement lead to ensure that the voice and experience of service users is captured and influences the programme throughout its lifespan.
+ Act as a conduit between the Healthier Futures Programme team and all clinical staff within the Trust to share information and access relevant clinical expertise and information as required.
+ Manage interdependencies and coordination across stakeholder groups, ensuring effective collaboration and meaningful co-production of optimised clinical pathways.
+ Facilitate the application of the latest clinical research and best practice to the challenge of developing a health care facility that can endure for the next 30 year.
+ Lead on the development of a AHP clinical workforce model for the new facility.
+ As the programme progresses, take a lead role for planning activities related to transition into the new facility.
+ Ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders and that key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated.
+ Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with project leaders and senior stakeholders, assess cross-functional project team capability, provide coaching, and support to improve collaborative development and project results.
+ Provide Programme Board with expert advice, guidance, and support on the clinical workstream.
