Full Job Description

To provide in person functional skills English tuition to a learner not attending school and receiving education via EOTAS. The role is based in the learners home in Romsey. The role is up to 10 hours per week (across 4 days) with no definitive concluding date. We require a very understanding, supportive, patient female educator who is able to provide English functional skills tuition from Level 1 to Level 3 in person. They must have experience teaching learners with PTSD, ADD, ASD and Dyslexia plus Dyscalculia. Having experience supporting learners with trauma informed practices and high functioning anxiety is equally as essential. They have executive functioning skills, literacy related vulnerabilities and can be triggered by sudden movements or unexpected sounds. The learner has low confidence and belief in themself but is described as being enthusiastic to learn. There is a lack of trust with people, so the focus for the initial stages of this role should be establishing a strong
foundation of trust and good rapport. They have a huge passion for horses and attends horse riding lessons weekly., As an SEN tutor, you will plan with purpose, teach with heart, assess with insight, and offer unwavering pastoral support to nurture each learner's unique potential.
