Alternative Provision Tutor

To provide support to a boy in Year 4 not engaging with school/attending consistently, either at school or in the family home (TBC). The provision will need to take place, twice a week for 1 hour sessions in each subject during daytime hours. This role is looking for an educator with strong experience supporting learners with SEMH/ SEN, especially those with ASD, ADHD, PDA and EBSA. The role is focussing on improving self-confidence within English and Maths and improving gaps in knowledge. To become reengaged and find interest in learning and achieving age-related milestones. Sessions need to be fun, informative, well organised and without large volumes of unexpected stimulation. Various movement breaks will be required and an educator who understands how to tailor the intensity of content delivered to a learner depending on mood and engagement each day. Incorporating his interests into sessions is recommended., As an SEN tutor, you will plan with purpose, teach with heart, assess with insight, and offer unwavering pastoral support to nurture each learner's unique potential.
