Full Job Description

As an Alumni Careers Consultant, you will support Level 6 and 7 students and recent graduates in their transition to successful careers. Your responsibilities will include providing tailored careers advice, guidance, and coaching to help graduates achieve their career goals and secure employment, further study, or training. You will work closely with the Alumni Manager to analyse data and deliver targeted career development activities, such as one-on-one coaching, workshops, and employer events.,

  • Deliver personalised career coaching and guidance to students and graduates.

  • Collaborate with the Alumni Manager to analyse career data and trends.

  • Organise and facilitate engaging workshops, seminars, and employer events.

  • Support students in developing career plans and securing employment opportunities.

    Undergraduate degree and a professional qualification in Career Development, Career Guidance, Coaching, or Career Management and Employability at Level 6 or 7.


  • Accredited by a recognised body such as AGCAS, CDI, or CMI.


  • A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or Teaching and Learning in HE) or a willingness to acquire one; Fellowship of the HEA (FHEA) is desirable.


  • Proven experience working with diverse students and colleagues, coaching them to achieve their goals, and managing complex projects under pressure.


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver clear, engaging workshops both online and in person.


  • A proactive approach to embracing new technologies and finding innovative ways to deliver excellent service.
