Are you passionate about making a difference and saving lives? We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Ambulance Technicians. In this vital role, you will work alongside Paramedics, Emergency Care Assistants and Urgent Care Assistants to provide essential emergency care and transport to patients. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, operating medical equipment, and ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients to healthcare facilities.

The role involves working across all of our contracts so if you enjoy variety this one is for you! The current contract covers, events, nwas 999 and night-time economy. You will be working 3 shifts a week which will consist of the above work.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Safely operate and navigate an ambulance, ensuring the safe transportation of patients


  • Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency calls, providing immediate care to patients.


  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.


  • Assess the risk to yourself and others and ask for more support if needed.


  • evaluating different approaches to solving problems


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.


  • To ensure a continuous duty of care to patients, within the scope of practice and competency of this role, ensuring an appropriate level of monitoring and treatment is maintained and continued until the patient is either discharged or transferred to the care of another healthcare professional.

  • Ensure the ambulance is fully stocked, cleaned, and ready for the next call.

    Full UK driving license, including Category C1 (or willingness to obtain within six months of employment).


  • CERAD, IHCD ( Ambulance Emergency Driving Level3) is essential


  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English, Maths, and a science subject is desirable.


  • Completion of an accredited Ambulance Technician course (e.g., IHCD, FREC Level 5, AAP).


  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role.


  • Experience working in a healthcare or emergency service setting is desirable.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.


  • Mentoring and willingness to support learners who are starting their ambulance careers., GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
