As the AML Operations Team Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in driving compliance excellence while fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and innovation within the team. This position is an opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing AML team, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Head of AML, you will manage day-to-day processes, optimize performance metrics, and spearhead strategic initiatives to strengthen our compliance framework. In this role, you'll oversee key aspects of team leadership, including mentoring team members, promoting continuous development, and cultivating a culture of integrity. Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing cutting-edge AML technologies and managing cross-departmental relationships to achieve company objectives. With a focus on performance reporting, you will track and improve KPIs such as response rates, customer satisfaction, and team engagement. Staying at the forefront of regulatory trends, you'll guide the team through dynamic compliance landscapes and ensure best practices are met. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the AML team daily. Encourage a strong team culture of continuous learning, development, skill enhancement and career growth, as well as integrity and compliance within the team.
  • Performance Reporting: Take ownership of management and performance reporting, providing regular updates on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as response rates, customer satisfaction, efficiency indicators, and team engagement. Strive to exceed departmental KPIs wherever possible.
  • Relationship Management: Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and departments in the organisation, as well as service providers, to achieve collective goals and compliantly deliver on strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Process Management: Oversee the daily operations of the AML team, ensuring that all processes are well-organized, efficient, and compliant with relevant regulations. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement to enhance the team's effectiveness.
  • Operational Roadmap: Collaborate closely with the Head of AML to build and deliver a strategic operational AML roadmap and oversee the successful implementation of other projects.
  • Incident Management and Guidance: Respond promptly to urgent AML-related incidents or escalations, offering guidance and resolutions to the team.
  • Regulatory and Best Practice Awareness: Stay updated with evolving AML regulations and industry best practices to ensure the team's compliance knowledge is current.
  • Legal Collaboration: Collaborate with the company's legal team to address any AML-related legal matters or investigations.
  • Technology Implementation: Help develop and implement new AML technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Budget Planning and Resource Allocation: Provide input into budget planning for the AML department, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.
  • Reports to the Head of AML.

    Two years of previous leadership experience is a must, as is the ability to guide and mentor AML teams effectively.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in AML, alongside an understanding of relevant AML laws, gaming regulations, and compliance obligations.
  • Being flexible in a dynamic regulatory environment and adapting to AML procedures and best practices changes.
  • Skills in balancing AML compliance with maintaining a positive customer experience!
  • Upholding high ethical standards in handling sensitive AML information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Employing logical and objective reasoning to assess ML risks and make informed decisions.
  • Being proactive in staying updated with AML trends, industry best practices, and emerging threats.
  • Great time management, attention to detail, communication and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with AML software, JIRA, Tabluea, and Zendesk.
