Full Job Description

Adferiad Recovery delivers a flexible and coordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced by people with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions and related issues. Vulnerable people facing complex life challenges need consistent and seamless support to ensure they remain engaged with vital health and wellbeing services - and to prevent them becoming disenfranchised and isolated., Adferiad have been awarded Amser funds to provide respite breaks for Carers. The programme will look to deliver a schedule of short break opportunities across different areas of Wales that mental health carers can access to have a break but also improve their health and wellbeing. This will include small breaks (cinema trip, dinner out, manicure); Carer group day trips; social events/peer support groups etc. These will be arranged through a schedule of monthly events and individual grants.

The purpose of this role is to coordinate the funds and arrange activities, ensuring that the carers we support have access to a variety of respite opportunities that meet their needs. In this role, you will engage with internal staff teams & carers as well as build relationships with external partners & organisations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with all Adferiad's carers services, liaising with staff to identify eligible carers and arrange activities for both individual carers and our carers groups, utilising the Amser funds.

The coordinators will also be responsible for risk assessing activities, developing promotional materials, gathering feedback, collating data, and writing reports.

You will be supported by our existing mental health, substance use, and carer support staff across Wales.

The role will be office based/hybrid, with travel across South Wales to meet with staff and attend carers groups for consultation, feedback, and evaluation.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.

Adferiad Recovery welcomes applications from everyone with the right to work in the UK, and values diversity in the workplace. All employees are required to act inclusively to encourage, promote, and cultivate our values. (Such as rights affirming and cultural diversity).

Working towards becoming a Rights Affirming organisation, we actively encourage applications from people where the Person Specification calls for a particular qualification or experience, we will consider waiving these requirements if an applicant who could not achieve them because of a disability can demonstrate he/she would be capable of performing well in the job and fulfils the criteria in other respects.
