Full Job Description

The post holder is responsible for providing a full administrative service for the Anaesthetic Leads, other Consultant anaesthetists and team members, and to play an integral part in the smooth running of the Anaesthetic service incorporating the weekly production and distribution of the Anaesthetic team rota to enhance the patients' experience through the Trust.
As part of a team of administrators you will be responsible for covering one site two days a week and supporting the other 3 sites for the rest of the time., This administrative role supports the Lead Clinicians and Consultant Anaesthetists by managing various operational aspects. Responsibilities encompass maintaining the staff rota, ensuring adequate cover and emergency support, and coordinating locum placements. The role involves liaising with the Theatre Manager and Trouble-shooter to facilitate smooth operations. Additionally, it entails organising Trust-wide audits, managing diary appointments, handling correspondence, and maintaining filing systems. The administrator also assists with seminar room bookings, organises divisional meetings and tutorials, and serves as a point of contact for visitors and medical representatives.
