Full Job Description
As a Public Health Information Analyst you will focus on analysing health and care data to improve public health outcomes in line with the Midlands strategy, support decision-making, and enhance the efficiency of healthcare services. The role involves working with diverse data sources, collaborating with partners, and developing a data driven approach to population health improvement. This role will be based within the Midlands Regional Analytical Team but will work, as needed, on cross organisational project work with Integrated Care Boards, local authorities and other statutory and voluntary organisations. This Master's degree level apprenticeship is for early career professionals who study the health of populations, plan, commission, manage, deliver, monitor and evaluate health andsocial care policies and services. It provides a route to complete a Master's degree level HCIS apprenticeship to study the health of populations, plan, commission, manage, deliver, monitor and evaluate health and social care policies and services. Public Health training will be delivered by JGA Health & Care Intelligence Specialist Apprenticeship Level 7 - JGA - Developing Futures with final accreditation from NHS National School of Healthcare Science National School of Healthcare Science | Health Education England | NHS, The person is expected to complete a Master's degree level HCIS apprenticeship (Health & Care Intelligence Specialist) as accelerated training over a 22 month period. The successful candidate will spend around 20% of their time studying and willbe in a cohort class of other apprentices for peer support. Apprentices will learn how to design studies in population health, public health and epidemiology and lead on analytical projects that will improve implementation of services and inform evidence-based decision making and policy across health and social care. They will obtain and work with existing health and care data, and also have responsibility for designing or carrying out bespoke data collections when required. Modules cover:

- Finance, Economics and Planning, NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
