HSBC has set out a three-part plan to help accelerate the transition to net zero through finance: Becoming a net zero bank; supporting our customers and unlocking new climate solutions. This role is aligned to the third pillar of this plan, helping HSBC deliver innovative investments and partnerships that can reduce the impact of climate change and supporting these to scale.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • The build out and future development of a sustainable Climate Analytics function within Sustainability - includes support in onboarding/management of additional contractor resources.

  • The implementation of the functions target operating model ensuring processes, controls and risk management frameworks established and ongoing compliance.

  • Providing governance updates.

  • Third Party Management i.e. consultancy management support, third party risk management, consultancy resource planning, management of SoW process and consultancy onboarding.

  • BAU resource planning and FRP planning including monitoring and reporting on budgets and expenditure.

    Knowledge or keen interest to learn about financed emissions and associated industry guidance and methodologies.

  • Ability to produce strong written communication / documentation.

  • Understanding of the Banks Risk Management Framework.

  • Experience within corporate or finance or strategy.

  • A practical 'hands-on' approach suited to working in a small team; proactive ownership of initiatives working independently to develop high quality work products for executive level audiences.
