This team will support operational and performance policy colleagues charged with ensuring the NHS makes progress towards delivering the operational targets related to Urgent and Emergency Care. The team will have responsibility for a number of data collections which are employed to monitor progress and to give operational insights. The team will ensure collections are maintained and continue to be fit for purpose. In addition to the formal publications internal reports and dashboards will be maintained and developed using appropriate platforms and technologies to meet user need alongside more detailed analytical work as required to support policy development.
This team will also have responsibility for maintaining links with the UK statistics authority, in particular the regulatory arm, Office for Statistics Regulation, and that NHSE's statistical work adheres to the Code of Practice for statistics.
This role is a key part of the Urgent and Emergency Care team and is responsible for the provision of a high-quality service to our stakeholders., The Analytical Officer will work on running and improving the data collection, presentation, analysis and publication of data, as is applicable to their policy area Postholders will be expected to develop their skills in order to use and take advantage of the latest technology.
